The Arts Council of Erie traces its roots back to 1960, when several arts organizations decided that they could accomplish more by working together. In the 47 years since its inception, the Arts Council has gone through many changes, but one principle has remained in-tact: we continue to believe that collaboration is a key to success.

In the coming fiscal year, you’ll notice the Arts Council doing more to lead, support, educate and advocate on behalf of the arts. The strength and support of our members has always been our greatest asset, and we look forward to continued success through collaboration.

Non-Profit Membership Benefits

New for the 2007-2008 fiscal year, the Arts Council of Erie now offers four levels of membership, designed to meet the needs of non-profit arts organizations of any size. Each increasing level provides greater benefits to your organization, and in return, your organization empowers the Arts Council to better serve our community.

LEVEL 1
Dues: $50.00

• Inclusion on Arts Council letterhead
• Inclusion of organization in online Member Directory
• Subscription to Arts Council newsletter (3 issues per year)
• NEW!Subscription to Arts Council’s periodic Membership E-News
  

LEVEL 2
Dues: $75.00
Includes all the benefits of Level 1, plus:

• Use of Arts Council printer/copier at reduced cost
• Direct notification of Arts Council grant opportunities, including Challenge grants
  

LEVEL 3
Dues: $150.00
Includes all the benefits of Levels 1 and 2, plus:

• Use of the Arts Council as a ticket outlet
• NEW! 1 free admission and 1 discounted admission to membership luncheons
• NEW! Invitation to roundtables held periodically by the Arts Council
• NEW! Spotlight articles and photos on EnjoyErie.com
• NEW! Invitation to periodic opportunities for social networking
• NEW! Enhanced content in online Member Directory (background, contact info, logo and link to your website)
  

LEVEL 4
Dues: $250.00
Includes all the benefits of Levels 1-3, plus:

• NEW! 1 additional free admission to membership luncheons
• NEW! Discounted admission for 1 person to workshops
• NEW! Information page on the Arts Council website, updated semi-annually by our staff
• NEW! Opportunities to submit articles about your organization for publication in the Membership E-News and/or on the Arts Council website, to the extent space is available
• NEW! Ability to offer discount coupons or promotions on EnjoyErie.com, to the extent space is available
• NEW! Opportunities to attend community events as a guest of the Arts Council.

New Grants Now Available!

Erie Arts Endowment grants have been replaced by new Arts Council of Erie Project grants. Applications will only be accepted once a year. Deadline for submission is August 31, 2007!

There will be no August 15 Endowment grant cycle, and grant applications will no longer be accepted in February.
